This is a short trip to Lake Mburo which is the closest National Park to Kampala. With an area of 370 square kilometers, Lake Mburo National Park is the only Uganda National Park that contains an entire Lake. The park is characterized with a varied landscape of open savanna and acacia woodland, rock kopjes, seasonal and permanent swamps, forest and open water. The Park is a home to a number of wild game. These include among others; Burchell’s Zebra, Eland, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Impala. The park also offers a very good spot for bird watching.

Entebbe/ Kampala – Drive To Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast at your hotel our safari driver guide will meet and pick you up and proceed south west of Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey will take approximately 3.5 hours. The driving distance from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park is 270 Kilometers. Upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. Our afternoon will be spent on a boat ride for about 2 hours on Lake Mburo searching for wild animals including hippo as well as birds like pelicans, heron, cormorant, fish eagle etc. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
Lake Mburo National Park – Drive To Entebbe/ Kampala
An early morning game drive is planned for today before breakfast. Animals likely to be seen on our drive include leopard, hyenas Zebras, Elands, Topis, Impalas, Uganda Kobs etc. We return to the lodge for breakfast and then relax until lunch time. After a sumptuous lunch, departure for Kampala/ Entebbe with a stop-over en route at the Equator for photography. Arrive late in the evening.
