Kampala To Mbale & Exploring The Falls
We pick you up at your lodging for the journey to Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, a 5 hour journey past the Mabira Forest, then onward to Sipi Falls where we check in at the Travelers inn hotel Mbale. Enjoy a delightful lunch, most with local ingredients grown around the Mount Elgon area, even the coffee or tea comes from around here. After Lunch we begin to explore the nearby main Sipi Falls which is a set of 3 falls, there are caves behind the main falls. Be on the look for lots of birds to discover as you climb all the way to the top of the falls and enjoy abseiling. The views are breathtaking, the hike takes about 2½ hours and make for a great afternoon. Keep an eye open for Tacazze, Sunbirds, Turacos and Hornbill birds as many are in the area. Return to hotel for dinner and a wonderful view of the scenery around you. Enjoy the sunset and also get a good night's rest. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
Mbale To Kampala
Your day starts with an early morning breakfast after which we take you for an exciting rock climbing activity and later a community walk. You will then return to your hotel, have lunch and depart for Kampala crossing the river Nile again and passing through the thick Mabira forest as well as enjoying sugar cane plantation sights.
